We were wanting to do something fun for the girls birthday and we wanted to have some sort of vacation this summer so we decided to do an "at home vacation." We started out on Friday and went to story time at the library. The girls picked some DVDs to check out and watch that night. Then we went to Burger King for lunch. The kids loved us all going and playing on the toys. It didn't last very long though because Tyler started having an allergic reaction and we had to get him home. I actually didn't have Benadryl with me!! Go figure. It so rarely happens that I don't have it and then when it does, I need it! Oh well, he was fine after we got him some medicine. While Tyler napped Uncle Matthew and Amanda came and stayed with the kids while Jay and I went and did our birthday shopping, since Michelle's birthday was the next day and Whitley's was on Monday and we had absolutely no idea what we wanted to get them!!! After we got back and Tyler woke up we went to Chuck E. Cheese's and played in the arcade. We had tokens already and had coupons for free tokens too. For one of the coupons we had to buy some food so we spent $2 on some really crappy fries and got a bunch more tokens! We had a blast. After that we went to Toys R Us. The girls belong to their birthday club and get $3 gift cards for there every year. They had also gotten cards with money so we let them spend that there. We went through the whole store and they would see things they wanted it then grab it and put it in the cart to think about. There were just so many things that they wanted. We had two carts full of stuff!! They loved when their names were announced over the intercom for their birthdays!! When we got home we went outside and Jay BBQ'd dinner and we ate outside. We used the BBQ to roast marshmallows for smores. Michelle, Whitley, and I spent the night out in the backyard in a tent. Jay "took one for the team" and slept inside with Tyler. We took our portable DVD players outside and watched movies before falling asleep. They did really good out in the tent except for the whole getting up with the sun part!!! To be continued...
