We have had a fun day! We took it easy this morning. There was a ward breakfast in the park but it started at 8:00 and we were so not ready to be up and going by then!! The scout troop around here has a flag project. We pay them once a year and then on every flag raising holiday they come around and put up a flag for us. They come and take it down at night for us too and then store it until the next one. It is nice to be able to have the flag up and the kids love when they wake up and see it. They always go out and say the Pledge of Allegiance. So that was their excitement for this morning.
This afternoon we went over to Uncle Walt and Aunt Julie's house for a BBQ. Makaylah and Kailee, two cousins, were so great with Michelle and Whitley. There were also two other girls, Chelsea and Ashley, who the kids had fun with. Ashley was very helpful with Tyler. She even got him his dinner!! The older girls helped teach Michelle and Whitley a dance routine, which they loved!! They felt so grown up. It is posted below. The girls even wrote out fliers to hand out and announce the performance!! It was very cute!!
They got to do Pop-Its with Uncle Matthew and Amanda. They enjoyed that too! Once Tyler got used to all the people being around he had a lot of fun. The girls were wanting to do cartwheels. The talked Aunt Julie into helping them. Before we left they did a pyramid. Whitley freaked out when Grandma tried to help her onto the top. I don't know if it was pyramid itself or the fact that she didn't now who Tim is, the guy on the bottom middle. Grandma did talk her into to sitting in front of Kailee, which helped.
