Okay, this is for any former Kamiakin band members (you'd don't have to admit you were one if you don't want to). Do you remember the year from 1996 to 1997 when Mr. Owen left right at the beginning of the year? Our new director was Ms. Schaffer (not sure about spelling). Anyway, she was only there for the rest of that year before Mr. Russell started. Okay, are you remembering her? Well, when I have taken Whitley to her preschool class I noticed that one of the moms looked really familiar and could only place her as a former teacher. It was her!! She had recognized me also and we were talking today and figured out how we recognized each other. She actually remembered me!! How odd! At least she claims to remember me as being nice!! So Whitley's "glasses buddy" at school is the daughter of our old band director! Just thought it was funny!!

Oh Miss Schaffer... I have to say that I really felt bad for her that year. Small world :-).
Oh no, Christy! Now all the people who didn't know you in high school and think you're normal are going to find out the truth. You were a band geek. I hope no one holds it against you. :) (I realize I should have grown up since high school and shouldn't make fun of people like this, but I'm just so good at it that it's hard to let it go.)
