I DON'T do green, do you?

I have never been a big fan of St. Patrick's Day. I refuse to wear green on March 17!! I never put my kids in green either until preschool when the teachers would build it all up to the kids. They have a lot of fun with it and everything, I just hate feeling like I have to put my kids in green!! Michelle and Whitley both chose green shirts today but I made sure Tyler was green-free with me!!! I didn't see Jay before he left for work but I bet he didn't wear green either!!!
(And I won't even start on the stupidity of pinching people!!! Who in the world came up with that dumb idea?)
I noticed so many people in green today, adults and kids alike, and it got me thinking...
Do you do green? And if so, to what degree do you do St. Patrick's Day?

We wear green, but don't really do anything else.
Andy doesn't wear green. He says that he isn't Irish and he doesn't drink, so what's the point?
I just like to dress up once in a while and today I am making some shamrock cookies just for fun.

Happy Anniversary, Just think of how wonderful "green" is. It is one of Gods favorite colors, he made so many green things! and The Grinch he's green and then Green Eggs and Ham, Sam I am! Christmas is red and green, People get green with envy. Why the bombers are green is beyond me, but Bombers are green. But no I don't do the green either, but if we were back east it is a HUGE celebration, it just never took with us hard headed westerners.

I really don't do much except make sure we have SOMETHING on us that is green for the kids. I'm not very fun and creative like some people are. But I do LOVE seeing all the cute green shirts and outfits kids wear. There's something so cute about a family whose kids all have matching green shirts, or just coordinate since they all have some green on.

Thanks Mom and Brandon!! We have actually postponed our anniversary this year since we are both sick. We are just having a "Happy March 17th" today and will do the anniversary thing later. BUT, anniversary or not, I still have refused to wear green!!!

I just try and have something green on. Paige chose to wear green, Jacob didn't. In the past I have used green food coloring in some meals. Kids don't really like to eat green food though. When I was growing up they said if you wore red you got kissed. Strange.

Oh come on people!! Join the croud and wear the green. Embrase it!!!! Everyone's doing it, ha ha. Some years are better than others. This year all my kids had a cute shirt. Cierra even had green braids (a headband). I wore a green tanktop under a long sleeved back jacket type shirt. I just looked like I was headed to a Bomber game. Oh, and all three of us girls had green fingernails. It will double as Bomber pride nail polish. Sometimes I make green food, this year I didn't get to it. You just have to have fun with St. Patrick's Day!!! It's a fun holiday where you are not expected toy BUY anything for other people. It's a cheap holiday!
