Harvest Hoedown

I am interrupting my series of "going back through pictures and posting about stuff that I remember" blog posts to bring you the Jason Lee Elementary 1st Grade Harvest Hoedown!!! It was great!! Michelle was a little nervous because she has missed a lot of school but it turned out, she knew it!! She smiled, laughed, danced, and sang the night away!!
This is the best we could do for a "country girl" look. She did wear boots, even though they were closer to winter boots than cowboy boots, they were boots nonetheless. I think she looks incredibly adorable!!
After two very cute song and dance numbers the kids were all told to go get someone who came with them. They were going to bring them out to the middle and teach them one of the songs. Michelle decided to base her decision on who she thought was the worst dancer and who needed the most help (her words, not mine).
So, do you wonder who she picked?
The picture may be blurry but you can be pretty sure that it...

WASN'T ME!!!!
(I had figured if she was thinking about who was the worst dancer, I for sure would have won out but apparently she was kind to her poor mother and roped Daddy into it instead!!!
The kids had made scarecrows and Jack-O-Lanterns for decorations. This is her with her scarecrow but we never did find her pumpkin!!
They set up these photo sets on the stage for the after the show. She had waited until most everyone had cleared out to go up there and there were 2 teachers around who kept helping pose her with different props and things. I have a bunch of pictures but this is my favorite!!
Get ready for this!!!
