Day - 8

We are so ready for Jay to be back! We went to story time at the library this morning. The girls are doing the summer reading program and earned first glow in the dark sun glasses and today they got a barrel of glow in the dark "slime." I am not looking forward to them playing with that. It is going to be messy!!! Oh well, I signed up knowing they'd get it!! After the library we went to Fred Meyer. We met some friends there. Katie, Michelle, and Whitley played in the play land they have there. They loved it! Jolene and I walked around the store, just using up time while they played. We had Tyler with us since he was too young for the play land and he seemed to love having Jolene's attention!!
We got a hand-me-down bike for Michelle just the other day and Whitley gets Michelle's old bike. Both bikes had been away in storage for quite a while so they needed a little bit of help. We took them over to Papa Bubbles, Jay's dad, and he helped us put air in the tires and fix the chain on one of them. The bike for Michelle doesn't have training wheels on it so she is going to try it without them. They are now even more excited for Daddy to come home to help them learn to ride their bikes. I keep reminding them that Daddy is going to be tired when he gets home. Their solution was to let him take a little nap before they go learn to ride bikes! We'll see how that ends up!!
Well, my next post will be after Jay gets home!! Yeah for that. I don't know how people handle it when they have a spouse gone for extended periods of time, in another country, having frequent business trips, whatever the case may be, I just don't get it. That kind of strength is not something I have. Good thing I have other talents and good thing Jay doesn't have to travel much!!
