Poor Whitley - Will it never end?

So we just got back from an appointment with Whitley's Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist (Dr. Schwartz in Richland if anyone needs a good ENT). Anyway, we just passed the two year mark from when she had her tubes put in to begin with. Typically they say the tubes will be in about a year, give or take a few months. At 18 months with one tube still in they said to wait it out and see if it falls out on its own. At that point, it didn't matter if it stayed in longer or not. Now at 2 years out she still has the one tube left. He said that she will need to have it taken out. It is scheduled for September 29. Please keep her in your prayers. It is a really quick and easy surgery but prayers always help!
